Plan Cambia 360 Madrid 2025: these are the changes in aid to buy a new car in the capital

The Madrid City Council has renewed the Cambia 360 subsidy programme for 2025, aimed at facilitating the acquisition of new low-emission vehicles. Although the plan is still in force, this edition presents significant changes in the aid available and in the budget allocated.

The application period will remain open from May 10 to September 30, 2025, and to qualify for the aid it is necessary to be registered in Madrid capital. The processing of applications is carried out by the participating concessionaires, while the administrative management is carried out by AECIM as a collaborating entity.

Unlike previous years, the initial budget of the Cambia 360 2025 Plan is reduced to 4 million euros, which can be extended to a maximum of 10 million, always subject to budget availability. The programme maintains its focus on encouraging the purchase of new vehicles with the C, ECO and ZERO environmental label from the DGT.

Amounts of aid in the Cambia 360 Madrid 2025 Plan

In the 2025 edition, the following grants are applied according to the vehicle's environmental label:

• Vehicles with a ZERO label: up to €5,500 in aid:

Includes €4,000 of base aid plus an additional €1,500 if a vehicle is delivered for scrapping or donation with an A or B badge. Applies to electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids with more than 40 km of range or fuel cell. The maximum price of the vehicle is €60,000.

• Vehicles with an ECO label: up to €3,500 in aid:

Includes €2,000 of basic aid and €1,500 extra for scrapping or donation of a vehicle with an A or B label. Applicable to conventional hybrids (HEV) and micro-hybrids (MHEV). Maximum sale price: €50,000 (up to €60,000 in the case of 7 seats or PRM). 

• Vehicles with a C label: up to €1,500 in aid:

Available only if a vehicle is returned for scrapping or donation with an A or B label. Applies to new gasoline or diesel vehicles without electrification. Maximum sale price: €40,000 (up to €60,000 in the case of 7 seats or PRM).

In addition, all aid amounts can be increased by an additional 10% or 20% if the applicant is a large family or a person with reduced mobility.

The aid must be requested by the concessionaire, and the buyer will receive the subsidy within a maximum period of six months after the favourable resolution.
